Just needed to share-- Did I mention that Princess won the national state championship for Israel's Pickiest Eater? The whole country celebrated, relieved that it was my child and not theirs. Anyway. There are a few foods that we can usually count on her eating, and one of them is peanut butter. As it is one of the only protiens that her Majesty will deign to consume, it showed up in every meal. I think, in retrospect, overkill, because Princess started showing some signs of sensitivity to it.
I told her that she is a little sensitive, and we have to stay away from having too much of it.
She nodded gravely.
Then I heard her telling a friend who was munching on a bag of Bamba that she can'thave any (not that the friend was offering) because when it comes to peanut butter she is a little centipede.
Princess is a little centipede.
As a mother who is interested in her daughter's grammar and vocabulary, I should correct her.
Is it a crime that I just can't bring myself to do so?
